Laser Tag Experience at Centris Walk
Each time I commit a violation like not holding my gun properly or even sitting down, my laser gun becomes inactive. And each time someone gets to tag me (which is a lot), their code name appears in my laser gun screen. Yup, each laser gun has an assigned code name which you must remember so you will know your scores later on.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Movie
One thing made me a bit sad today. That is the fact that I will not be able to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. This has been a very busy week for my whole family so my husband and I don't have time to watch a movie. I hope we can watch it this weekend or if not, we will try to watch it next week. I believe we will avoid crowds and long lines that way. Anyway I took a fun quiz at FemaleNetwork.com to determine at which Hogwarts house do my personality fit in. According to the result, I belong to the Ravenclaw house! You belong in RAVENCLAW! You're intelligent and capable, just like the students in Ravenclaw. You've got a good head on your shoulders, and you use it well, even if sometimes others don't see things the way you do. You love spending time alone, just reflecting or reading a good book. You enjoy learning a lot, and your mind is always full of thoughts and ideas. When you speak, people listen because they know you'll have something interesting to say. While some might see you as just book-smart, you're actually pretty practical and good at thinking out of the box, so you have a way of coming up with less obvious but often more effective solutions to any problem. You love useful gadgets, especially things that serve multiple purposes, and you're very logical when it comes to helping people resolve issues--whether at work or in their personal lives. |
Japanese Filmfest this July at Shangrila Edsa
I missed the French Film Festival last month so I am hoping that I would be able to watch at least one movie from the Eiga Sai (Japanese Film Festival) that is set to happen this month. It will run from July 2-10, 2011 at the Shang Cineplex Cinema 4 of Shangrila Plaza Mall in Edsa, Mandaluyong City. This film festival is free and welcomes everyone but the seats are limited. Based from experience, those who want to watch it should be there at least one hour before the screening time as they usually give out tickets around that time. There is usually a long line so it pays to be early. Screening schedule: JULY 1 (Friday) Opening Night by Invitation at Cinema 2 Departures (131 mins ) 7:00 PM JULY 2 (Saturday) The Chef of South Polar (125 mins) 1:00 PM Departures (131 mins ) 4:00 PM The Summit: A Chronicle of Stones (139 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 3 (Sunday) Summer Days with Coo (1:38 mins) 1:00 PM The Summit: A Chronicle of Stones (139 mins) 4:00 PM The Chef of South Polar (125 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 4 (Monday) Yunagi City, Sakura Country (118 mins) 1:00 PM Villon’s Wife (114 mins) 4:00 PM Climber’s High (145 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 5 (Tuesday) Your Friend (125 mins) 1:00 PM One Million Yen Girl (121 mins) 4:00 PM Feel the Wind (133 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 6 (Wednesday) One Million Yen Girl (121 mins) 1:00 PM Climber’s High (145 mins) 4:00 PM The Summit: A Chronicle of Stones (139 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 7 (Thursday) Feel the Wind (133 mins) 1:00 PM Climber’s High (145 mins) 4:00 PM Your Friend (125 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 8 (Friday) Your Friend (125 mins) 1:00 PM Yunagi City, Sakura Country (118 mins) 4:00 PM Departures (131 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 9 (Saturday) Departures (131 mins) 1:00 PM One Million Yen Girl (121 mins) 4:00 PM Villon’s Wife (114 mins) 7:00 PM JULY 10 (Sunday) Summer Days with Coo (1:38 mins) 1:00 PM Feel the Wind (133 mins) 4:00 PM The Chef of South Polar (125 mins) 7:00 PM For inquiries, you may contact 633-7851 loc.113 or go to http://www.shangrila-plaza.com. |
Bagyong Falcon Update
It's clearly the rainy season as for a week now, the weather is perfect for lazing around and sleeping. It is so hard to get up in the morning and at work, I always have the urge to close my eyes and snooze. I love the cool weather because I easily get dizzy when it is so hot but I don't like typhoons - the strong scary winds, thunders and lightnings, brownouts, floods, etc. I do like the suspension of classes though when I am still studying (lol). News reports said that Bagyong Falcon is heading out of the country but is able to maintain its strength. I hope the weather clears up soon as our office has an important event on Friday and my family plans to go out this weekend. I am sure many are also hoping to say goodbye to Tropical Depression Falcon. Here's the latest update from PAGASA regarding Bagyon Falcon:

Jose Rizal 150 Year After
I have always been amazed by Jose Rizal's intelligence and achievements. In college, there is a 3-unit subject that is dedicated to Rizal. In UP, the subject is called P.I. 100 during my time. The course sounds funny but it is actually not an easy one. Our teacher gave us tons of reading assignments- poems and essays of Rizal. All of Riza'ls works are really worth reading. I particularly like the essay entitled: Philippines 100 Years Hence and the one that talks about the laziness of the Filipinos. There was no work or school yesterday because the National Historical Commission requested that the President Aquino declare the 150th birthday of our National Hero a holiday. Good thing the President listened. I think it is just right for today's youth to be more aware of Rizal as it is a great source of Pinoy pride other than Pacquiao and Charice. Anyway one of the reasons why this date is significant to me is because it seemed to have awaken my passion for stamp collecting. You see I have a small stamp collection before. This hobby is quite boring really so its been years since I last bought a stamp. However it is nevertheless interesting so I want to buy the 150 years of Rizal stamp tomorrow and hopefully revive my stamp collecting hobby
