So this early, I am searching for a list of good children's book that I can read aloud to my child someday. Here are some recommended books for children:
Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. Laugh together with your kids as you read through the wacky rhymes and look at the funny illustrations.
Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown- A bedtime book with simple words and repetitions, a great book even for the youngest of children.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle-Younger kids will enjoy learning numbers and the days of the week while older kids will be entertained to see how a caterpillar grows into a butterfly.
You can download a PowerPoint presentation of this book by Eric Carle.

Training your child to read is a good thing to do. You'll be teaching her an invaluable skill. She will also be having a lifetime of fun, enjoyment and learning with books. And she'll thank you for that later. I know. (Train her to read blogs also :-D )
Those are all great books :) I have a pretty good collection of Dr. Seuss books from my own childhood, while Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar I got secondhand from Book Sale, finds I had been ecstatic over, lol. Lots of awesome books out there, just go for board ones for now :)
Oh, I love to read too! And we have lots in common! I started with fairy tales too. Then moved on to Archie, encyclopedias, Nancy Drew, Sweet Dreams, Mills and Boon. Then to Sidney Sheldon, Archer and so on. But I still read Mills and Boon up to now - when I want a romance that I can easily finish.
Reading is really fun! Aside from the other benefits we get from it. And it's good to pass that to our kids.
I'm sure you'll be having a lovely time reading to your child. :)
