Chateau Royale in Nasugbu Batangas Review

As I said in my previous post, I was able to buy a voucher for Chateau Royale at CashCash Pinoy. It was a very good deal because for Php1,999, we got 2 days and 1 night stay at the sports and country club. It includes a tour and free breakfast for four (yes 4!) pax. Another plus factor is that there is no limit to the number of kids one can bring as long as they are below twelve years old. I don’t mind paying an extra Php800 because our group is composed of five adults.
We arrived at the place at 1pm, an hour earlier before the check-in time but they already allowed us to enter our log in cabin. I had to leave a valid I.D and pay P1000 deposit but it is refundable upon check out.

The rooms are a bit far from the reception area so guest can opt to ride a shuttle to take them to their cabins. We rode the shuttle first because we thought that we are not allowed to park our car near our rooms. We later discovered that there is an ample parking space near our cabins.
I guess we are all satisfied when we saw our cabin because it is so cute and huge-- good enough for 8 people. There are two queen-sized beds and one extra bed. It was air-conditioned with TV and toilet and bath. There are cabinets and a desk that makes one feel so at home.

Chateau Royale has many amenities including a mini zoo, a floating restaurant, a swimming pool, and a playground. One can try fishing, go wall climbing, etc. (forgot the others) but all of those are available for a fee. I think only the playground and the pool are free.

My nieces took advantage of the pool and swam to their hearts content. The tour schedule is every 9am and 4pm but we opt not to join since it was a walking tour and we have been walking to and fro our room and the pool area. Those who don’t like to walk can wait for the shuttle but I seldom see it so we always end up walking. Anyway, it is fun to explore the place ourselves.
We had lunch at Tagaytay so we ate dinner at their Veranda Café. This café is a bit small so we just ordered food and decided to eat at our cabins. We are all so tired that an hour after dinner, almost everyone was asleep. The next morning is another picture taking and swimming sessions before we prepared for check-out.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I would not be ashamed to recommend it to others. In fact, maybe we can come back. The staff is courteous and friendly. The place is beautiful and relaxing. Chateau Royale gives good service but should also work to improve some areas.

For one the zoo is pitiful, I am quite disappointed with it. The food in their café is okay but average. And a bit embarrassing but there's something wrong with the toilet. I hope Chateau Royale can fix all these so they can offer the best services to their clients.

hi there. oh we had to call the housekeeping department because the flush is not working. but they were quick in fixing it naman.

It's good it was quickly fixed. Coz I read from another review that he can't call the reception because the room phone has no dial tone. :(

Btw, is there a hot/cold shower?

Mabel said...

hi ru, yes a hot and cold shower is available. when do you plan to visit? I hope you would enjoy your stay too. if you have a voucher too, it's really a very good deal.

yup one of the strengths of this hotel is the log cabins- ang cute and spacious. and yes for 1999 for 4 pax- it is a very nice deal. i am not so impressed with the breakfast food, pero it's ok n din.

Hi! I also bought 2 vouchers and we're gonna use it tomorrow. You mentioned that the food in their resto is quite expensive and not so delicious, now I think we need to bring food there. Just to make sure we're not gonna get hungry. Do you think we can do it? I mean, without being questioned?

Thanks much for this very helpful post!

chateau royale's service is poor. I don't recommend this resort.

I was really shocked with the kind of service they have, staff is not courteous enough, unfriendly and seems like they are not trained well. Fortunately, the resort was great and really has a good ambiance. I suggest, that you guys should re-train your staff because it's really a big "turn off" for the guests.

I also availed a voucher for 4 that includes breakfast and dinner. The food was like a "carinderia-like" meal and mind you guys, it' worth 180 php (fried rice, egg and tuyo). I;m not a picky person but I believe it's not proper to serve those stuff in such hotel with that kind of ambiance. Moreover, the service staff doesn't know the difference between a buffet and set meal. Please have time to train your staff, because staff courtesy and confidence are really a plus for guests. I am not satisfied with our overnight stay here and maybe, won't come back next time..

To be fair then, log cabins were spacious and cozy :) But if you want a real, comfortable vacay, I would recommend that you stay in a hotel. For chateau royale, you need to go the front desk every time you need something (like water or coffee)because no one answers the phone regularly. Its like a 15-minute waiting fro someone to answer your call, and another 15 to 30 minutes waiting for someone to attend to your needs. They are not offering room service. Let me share this scenario, I woke up early and was craving for my morning coffee, as a guest, i wasn confident enough that they would serve me coffee in our cabin, but unfortunately the staff said that "hindi po kami nag service sa room, punta po kayo cafeteria." where in the world did she got that kind of answer? I mean they can use use proper scripting techniques I guess, just for the guests to feel better. And mind you guys, our cabin is located 10 blocks or more from the front desk. Please improve the kind of service you have.

I dont recommend this resort either, they have poor service. I wasted 2 vouchers for this, i checked out 30 mins after i checked in. The toilet was stinky, the bed covers were dirty, the cabins were so far from the front desk and we had a senior citizen with us, our cabin was elevated so my 85 yr.old mom had to climb the stairs, it was not a welcoming experience, im surprised you liked it. Good for you.

One of the worst resort i have stayed. "Log cabin" has termites colonies in it, plus the interior is made of plastic that looks like wood, not really log cabin as we knew it. Their queen size bed is really double bed, and it is as stiff as a rock. Room is not very tidy with cockroaches and ants to share their dwellings with the visitors. Bed cover is untidy. Swimming pool is full of sands and you can't see much under the pool even with googles. If it is not due to Ensogo voucher, it is not worth it. Suggest you upgrade to Premier or Suite instead, they look newer and cleaner.

Hi. I googled for a review of the place because we purchased from Cashcash for our 3 little kids. You seem to enjoy it minus the toilet malfunction but you also mentioned that the staff was helful, courteous and friendly. That is all very encouraging and I hope that that is what we will get when we make our reservations. However, I see that there are some really bad reviews about the place in the comments thread....I hope that what they experience don't happen to us. :) thanks for this.

Don't expect five star accommodations. They couldn't even provide us with towels since their laundry hasn't arrive yet daw but the operator assured us it was coming. The following day, still no towels. Secondly, the room toilet stinks! Even the toilet near the ballroom where breakfast was served stinks! Third, their breakfast consists of 1 cup of rice plus hotdog and tocino. Thank goodness we still got served. The next groups had to wait, the food kept on running out and no one refills it unless the server runs to the kitchen to get the refills. Are they short-staffed??? Even the coffee, milk, juice and water kept on running out. Fourth, their pool is dirty. I suggest you bring your own food in, towels and everything you'll need. Its a long way from Tagaytay with all the traffic. Also, be open to having no help from the staff. Some of the rooms are also far from the parking so if you're with senior citizens or people with disability, ask for the more accessible room.

Im convincing myself already not to expect so much on this resort.I just hope they will give us a room that is near the reception area and with good and functioning CR hayyy... I bought the voucher for 2499 pa that time.. We will just low of expectation so that we wont be disappointed...

It was a steal deal from cash cash pinoy. I bought the voucher @ php 1999 for June 22. We love the place and my kids want to stay for another day :) Room is clean and tidy.It is big enough for 4 pax.T&B is clean also and has water heater. Got 4 available towels with free soap and shampoo. The free Dinner and Breakfast is ok for the price nothing to complain about it though they should improve it to attract more clients. My eldest son (7yo) enjoyed the fishing cuz he was able to catch 1 tilapia.Kids enjoyed the obstacle course and the playground. The swimming pool is very inviting but at first i am hesitant to allow my kids to swim cuz the water is a little hazy and we have several instances before that their skin gets irritated with pool waters. We took the risk cuz the kids are really persistent, luckily we got no skin irritation or what so ever! i realized that the sand around the pool may have caused the water to look like that. The following morning we saw a staff cleaning the pool...courteous and helpful staff.lastly, i am happy to see that the management is able to maintain cleanliness in such a huge place.im looking forward to future cash cash pinoy deal for chateau royale

Hello, we had our family day yesterday, July 14, 2012. WE bought 9 vouchers from #ensogoph for a day tour and a "buffet" worth 500 each. If it wasn't for the people that we are with, it wouldn't be that special. The kids had fun since the pool was nice. The buffet was really really irritatingly funny!!! They said it will will be ready by 12 noon. When the food was set, it was soup (which looks like that served in Chic Boy), Fish Fillet, Butter Chicken in a pale sweet and sour sauce and sauteed veggies. What is funny about it was, we are only allowed to get food ONCE!!! Even if we want to get some more, there was no more food. Intentionally not refilled. It was a disaster. We have to eat elsewhere because we are so hungry. I am giving the resort a few months left if they will not fix their act. I stayed on their counter for 5 to 10 minutes before someone ask me what I needed. Even the old lady who seem to be the manager didn't mind me standing there. Another service crew was just passing by not checking on my needs. Is this a negative star hotel? I guess so.

akala ko nung sinabi samen na sa Chateau Royale kame mag'OJT mgnda, pero hndi tlga..marami nagsasabi even my current professor in my school na npka'unprofessional nang mga employee, natapos na yung OJT namen hndi pa nmen nakukuha yung certificate nmen, nka'dalawang balik na yung classmate nmen pero wla pren hanggang sa ngpalit na ata silang ng mga bagong bosses hndi pa rin namin nakukuha, and take note..ambaba nila magbigay nang grade wala man lang consideration na anglayo nang binabyahe nmen almost 1hour from nasugbu town hanggang batulao, hndi man lng nila kami mabigyan ng allowance khit pra sa pamasahe, pero wala kming matanggap..puro sermon pa kme kahit lagi naman kaming kumikilos, nagmumukha lng kaming kawawa, very disappointed tlga kme sa chateau Royale.

i don't recommend this resort, nag OJT kame dito and 1st day plang namen sobrang dismayado na kame, can you imagine..pinag'hintay nila kame sa labas ng almost 2hours habang umaambon at mahamog, we don't deserve that kind of treatment beacuse OJT's nila kame..at nun nakapasok na kame, alam nio ba kung san nila kame dinala? sa housekeeping..pinag'housekeeping nila kame, dito kna ilalabas lahat nang sama nang loob ko sa hotel na yan.. alam nio ba yung mga housekeepers nila, pag hndi pa masyadong madumi yung beddings hndi na nila pinapalitan pati pillow covers, yuck tlga..nililinis lng nila yung room, walis punas pero yung beddings kalimitan yun pa rin..at nung nsa veranda na kme nxt day, yung food nila hndi worth it..kse yung 120pesos mo rice egg at hotdog lng, yung buffet nilang sinasabi hndi kna mkakabulos dun ako na nagsasabi senio..hndi nla alam ang difference nang BUFFET sa SET MEALS..at hndi sila on'time mag-prepare ng food..pag sinabi nilang 12noon ang set ng pagkain mghihintay ka pa nang ilang minuto, npka'unprofessional tlga nila sobra.. kaya sabi nung professors namen sa HRM hndi na sila mgpapadala ng OJTs sa hotel na yan, kasumpa sumpa tlga yung experience namen..

Guys I really think you need to consider the price offered from ensogo or cash cash pinoy. 1,999 for 4 with breakfast, use of pool and accomodation. Ok na rin un. Don't ask for too much. Ssabi nga nila, you get what you paid for.
