It is hard to buy a car and for some people it is almost impossible because it is so expensive here in the Philippines. Then when one finally bought the car he or she wants, car maintenance is another important thing to consider. Ensuring that the car is in perfect condition takes effort and sometimes a lot of bucks. To get that great driving experience, a supercharger is a must-have for your car though it may be quite costly.

Wednesday Break

Today is a holiday, because it is the day of former President Aquino’s funeral. The weather is gloomy and perfect to stay home and rest but I took this opportunity to go to Redemptorist Church in Baclaran and attend a novena mass.
I want to do it before I give birth because I want to pray for a happy delivery. I went there together with my mother and husband. We woke up early to catch the early mass schedule and as usual there are so many people and I am always amazed at the depth of their devotions. Going to church like this one makes me feel proud to be a Filipino because I am amazed at the deep faith of the people. After mass, we bought half kilo of lechon because Baclaran is famous for this delicacy.
Lousy Monday

If I only knew that this day would turn out as it is, I would have just stayed in bed and skip work again. Well, let’s just say that I wasn’t able to start the week right. It started with heavy rains that made hiring a taxi cab extra difficult. It is usual for me to be at the office by 8 am, but today I timed in at 9:29 am.
Then my boss talked to me about a new task that is quite difficult and how he wants to see more effort from me at work--that one sucks and should never be given on a Monday. I hate it when Mondays doesn’t turn out nice because it seems to affect the rest of the week. But what else can I do? I guess we all have days like this right? All I can do is just bear it and think hat tomorrow will be another day!

Plans For Our Future Home

My husband received a call from the real estate developer of the house and lot we purchased in Cavite to inform him that we can already move into the house next month. We only need to submit a few more documents and sign some papers then we are free to do what we want with it. We are glad about this news although moving in is not our priority as of the moment. Our first plan is for the construction of our home to further improve it. There are a lot of work to do and of course we need lots of funds too (lol).
We have many plans for the house like my husband wants two bathrooms while I want a nice cozy living room. A terrace would also be a welcome addition. I also want a big and inviting kitchen with stainless sinks because it looks clean and gorgeous. I recommend this kind of sink to all who are currently constructing or renovating their kitchen areas because using it has many advantages such as being more affordable and durable. It also matches well with almost all kitchen decor styles. Good thing that undermount stainless steel kitchen sinks and bar sinks are readily available at http://www.sinksusa.com

Ways to Beat Stress

Lately, I noticed that I am more stressed out and being quite mean to my husband. I really feel guilty when I do that and since I find myself regretting my actions later on, I always vow to be more patient next time.
It is probably due to the fact that I am now in my third trimester of pregnancy and feeling more uncomfortable everyday because my tummy seems to get heavier and heavier. But as much as possible, I don’t want to give myself any excuse for being mean so I really need to de-stress, relax and control my reactions. If you are in the same boat as I am, let me share some of the things one can do to relax and beat stress:
• List your blessings. Make a mental list of five things you are grateful of and focus on that. It is an instant mood lifter.
• Take a deep breath. Catch your shoulders up by your ears, breathe in slowly then relax and exhale.
• Sing. Be it in the shower, your bedroom or just about anywhere, it stimulates the release of endorphins, mood boosting, and brain chemicals.
• Make a tight fist then open your hand and focus on the physical sensation of releasing tension. Tune into other tense body parts such as neck, shoulders, brow and jaw and replicate the sensation of tension release through muscle relaxation.
• Laugh it off. Recall a ridiculous thing your friend did and mentally relive the incident and allow yourself a hearty chuckle.
• List down your worries to neatly organized your concerns. It helps restore a sense of calm in your life.
